Assisted by Global AGV’s demo concept, the Danish company Lantmännen Unibake has instantaneously streamlined its production process after implementing an AGV solution. The company’s trial period of using the driverless forklift provides a sound basis for the further process concerning the bread manufacturer’s choice of a final AGV solution.
Automation has long been wished for by Lantmännen Unibake, which is why the company has recently been looking for an AGV solution with the right properties to streamline its production area. The company had been unable to find the right solution, however, until Søren Kristensen, Plant Manager, Lantmännen Unibake, was presented with Global AGV’s proposal:
“We had seen many solutions over the past few years, but never such a simple solution as Global AGV’s, which we’ve now decided on. And it is definitely preferable in a production process like ours.”
Lantmännen chose to make use of Global AGV’s demo-concept, which enables the company to try out the AGV solution over a three-month period in its own setting. According to Søren Kristensen, this very valuable concept is the reason why the company decided to try out the AGV solution in its own production environment to clarify whether the solution met their needs.
“Implementing the AGV solution was an easy process. The AGV is easy to install and set in motion, which is very advantageous for us,” Søren Kristensen says.
